We're pleased to announce the introduction of The Action Alert. We will be

working in conjunction with the Autism Action Network (formerly A-CHAMP) to get

our message out to decision makers on issues affecting the autism community.

Autism Action Network has an online advocacy tool that allows you to quickly

send an email message to the people that need to hear from us. (See end of

Now that the heat of the election has abated, please join us in thanking Senator

McCain for his leadership role during the campaign on vaccine safety and

autism issues.

We have much to thank Senator McCain for:

His courageous statements concerning the role of mercury and vaccines as a cause

of autism are unprecedented among presidential candidates; the numerous

occasions where he discussed autism issues on the campaign trail were unparallel

by other candidates, and his efforts to reach out to the autism community set a

new standard for candidates in the future.

As a Senior United States Senator McCain is still in a key position to help

our community and fulfill his promises. And our needs in the autism community

are such that we need friends and support in both parties to achieve our shared

goals.
