Guest guest
Sorry, Colleen, I guess I was thinking of mainstream as not needing services any more, indistinguishable from his peers which is what we all hope for. But no matter what the goal, we can certainly work toward it, I've heard amazing things on this list! And we may never completly forget apraxia as parents, but all that matters is that they eventually overcome it. All the best, -Elena From: Colleen Somerville <colleen.somerville@ <mailto:colleen.somerville%40comcast.net> comcast.net> Subject: RE: [ ] Re: TRANSITIONING: From Babies Cant Wait to School System - Help Moms! - Results <mailto: %40> Date: Friday, August 15, 2008, 5:25 PM Well guys, The results are in! Today Charlie was awarded 1 day a week 45 min individual ST at his mainstream day care!!!!!!!! I am pleased as punch for now and have won my battle. Insurance should take care of the rest ST and OT for now. Best $300.00 I ever spent on an advocate. So VERY VERY sad that last week he did not qualify for the school system and after having to remind them of lawsuits and getting an advocate, he somehow " qualifies. " To all of you, thanks for your support and healthy conversations. You moms rock!
