Iam sorry, I just need to ask , Is your insurance is under Medi-cal, as low

income , or what? as I need to help my daughter too. as Iam new here in this

country, and I dont know how to start with my insurance, as some people says the

insurance can accept her, and the other people , no.

so pls advise me ,

Caroline,

We have a BCBS plan (the federal employee one) that covers speech therapy

but only up to 50 visits annually. Has anyone had any success in getting an

insurance company to cover ST visits beyond the cap? My 2 year old has

twice weekly ST right now, so we're going to go through the 50 visits very

quickly. Any advice is much appreciated!

We also have BCBS Federal. Our understanding was that you COULD get

more visits covered, but you had to get a dr. to write a letter of

medical necessity.

That may be all you need. Contact BCBS.
