Date: Monday, February 9, 2009, 6:03 AM We have a BCBS plan (the federal employee one) that covers speech therapy but only up to 50 visits annually. Has anyone had any success in getting an insurance company to cover ST visits beyond the cap? My 2 year old has twice weekly ST right now, so we're going to go through the 50 visits very quickly. Any advice is much appreciated!
Guest guest
We also have BCBS Federal. Our understanding was that you COULD get more visits covered, but you had to get a dr. to write a letter of medical necessity. That may be all you need.
