Guest guest
My youngest son has always had a hard time speaking. He has not been diagnosed apraxic, but selectively mute and language LD. He has a hard time in English classes, very good reader but cannot write very well, has a hard time with inferential language - loves math and music, very talented in music. Does anyone else's apraxic kids show this type of preference in learning or with their skills? Just wondering if it is a brain sphere dominance issue. Guest guest
Hi , I don't think all apraxic children have brain sphere dominance issues, but I thought it was an interesting question. Shyann definetly prefers math and music. It just seems that the artistic sphere wants to excel to compensate for her speech apraxia...now if I could just get her to sing her words insted of saying them! I've tried, but it doesn't work in her case. Joy and Shy [ ] question about learning preferences My youngest son has always had a hard time speaking.
