Hi

My son Trevor is 6 and has cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, developmental

delays, verbal apraxia and, yes, has a macrocephalys head. Despite several

CT scans, MRIs and EEGs, nothing was really ever connected to his head size.

They constantly monitored his head size, however, and twice thought maybe he

had hydrocephalus, but he didn't. I think in the end, when they checked his

father and my head sizes, they determined that his dad's head size was even

larger on the adult chart than Trevor's is on the child chart. So, they

pretty much attributed Trevor's head size to genetics. Have they checked

yours and your husband's head sizes? Hope this helps.

Her head is 21 " (she is 2), mine is 22 1/2 " and husband's is 22 3/4 " .  When we

switched peds and he saw her head growth chart, he was appaled that the prior

ped didn't do anything about it.  We are getting it taken care of now, though.
