Hello all I'm new to this group and have really enjoyed reading the

past posts. My 5 yrs old grand daughther Maddie has been diagnosis

with Apraxia. Only afer I read about it on the net, suggested to my

daughter to ask the baby's doctor about getting her tested for it.

Don't get me wrong they did all kinds of tests on her, but the light

never came on regarding Apraxia. Well the news cut me like a two edge

sword happy to know what we are dealing with, and on the other upset

for the delay of treatment. Well I have two questions for this loving

group. 1. Did any of you notice that your childs mouth never closes

completely when they were infants? I did and it always puzzled by it.

2. Do anyone know of a suporrt group in Houston are the surrounding

If you are ever in need of a great speech pathologist try Carolyn Whittmire in

Kingwood or Humble child therapy group. I came from 77070. You've got some great

therapists there, but I never found any support groups. But you sure did find

one here! Joy
