Guest guest
I've been trying to find info. on vitamin E in the archives but I'm having trouble finding it.? I went to Whole Foods today (they were not helpful at all!!!) and found? Natural Liquid Vitamin E mixed Tocopherol Complex with wheat Germ Oil. (it is D-alpha tocopherol).? 5 drops is 100IU.? In the ingredients it says it contains D-Gamma Tocopherol but doesn't say how much.? Are you supposed to buy 2 different types of Vitamin E?? This whole process is harder than getting through graduate school!!! Any info on this would be appreciated.? I can say that my daughter (2 1/2) just started taking the NN Pro-EPA/EFA and actually chewed the capsule and asked for more!? It was lemon flavored and she thought it was candy.? I hope this is the right kind because I didn't read about anyone else saying it was lemon flavored.? How long should I wait before starting the vitamin E?? I thought I read in someone's email that I should wait 6 months but that seems kind of long.? Thanks for being such a great support to me and my family!! Amy Re: [ ] Re: Vitamin E Roll Call Jen, I used the wrong E for a couple of months and got 'nothing'. After I switched types of E, I could see a difference in 20 minutes! Note that I used the same brand but a different mix of E to get a good response for my son. I had to play around with it and listen to the vast number of moms who emailed me privately with their success stories of vitamin E. I am definately a convert now! I have no idea why it works but it is a great " Mark pick me up! " Thus, I see better attention, organization, focus and articulation in about 20 minutes after I give it to him. The results seem to be temporary and are not long lasting (about 4-6 hours) thus he needs a dose after school as well. Because the results are not long lasting, I worry that we are not getting to the root of the metabolic issue here but are providing a 'quick fix'..... but I will take it for now! I take what works! We are using Natural Factors (out of Canada) 400 iu alpha, 200 mg gamma, 67 delta, beta With regards to E, the mix seems to matter and is possibly child specific. If you look at the links section, it will describe the relationship between alpha to gamma tocopherols that you are looking for. If I go too high with Mark, he gets a touch of the nosebleeds BUT I started adding vitamin D that has vitamin K in it to our regime and it seems to do the trick with the nosebleeds. We are from Northern Canada and I see a marked difference in my son between the summer and the winter time hence the vitamin D. What exactly should I be looking for? Jen **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance.
