Guest guest
Well, today is a wonderful day! I showed the IEP to both the private and EI therapists, and they both disagreed with it, told me not to sign, etc. I called back the case manager, and told her that I didn't agree with it, that he still needs a moderate amount of prompting and I felt he needed 2 ind. sessions, and that since they never did a speech eval, they could to see how he really is. She told me that she'd have to call the school SLP (the one who originally told me 2 ind., 1 group) and ask her recommendations. She called me back in less than 10 minutes, and said the school SLP agreed with me, and that they'd be willing to change it, I could sign it when I went for the class tour in Jan. I am so thrilled, I almost cried!!
