Yucky smelling hands and Speak

I keep reading articles of how people have to wash their hands 4-5

times with lemon and such because of the speak. I can tell you that

whenever I change diapers, I use latex gloves (like what the doctors

use for appointments.) I use these to cut onions too. Why don't you

all try that? I buy them from Costco (for those of you who have a

Costco close by) - otherwise I would imagine Wal Mart would have them

too. Hope that helps!

If so, just be careful getting the latex powder mixed with the oils.

Don't want your kids eating that stuff.

This is really a tough issue. ph has been swallowing pills since

he was 3 years old...but that is shockingly unusual. He had swallowing

issues and choking issues as part of his oral apraxia, so even more

amazing. Kids that young will usually choke on a pill like that.

Rewards work. Talking to them about it being their " talking medicine "

may also help. Many of these kids are so aware of their limitations,

that it might make a difference. I wish there was an easier

solution. -

You can also use coconut virgin oil after washing your hands...it leaves a

pleasant smell.. that reaminds me of the beach!!!

Make sure you get powder free (they make powder free+latex free or latex

without powder).

The hospital used to special order me latex free/powder free gloves when I

worked....I had

to hide them in my locker when I wasn't at work because everyone wanted them!

I forgot that I had to wear them when I changed the cat litter box when I was

pregnant........the ONE thing my husband REFUSED to do for me!! :-) I am sure I

still have

some somewhere.........
