Guest guest
Thanks for the update. Stories like yours really help and give hope to us who are still in the beginning stages of this journey. Thanks again, Nana [ ] update on son's apraxia Hi- I was very active on this board when my son was really suffering at age 2-3, and couldn't speak. But with intensive Prompt, and sensory integration therapy, and a therapeutic nursery and kindergarten, I am happy to report that he is doing great. The only problem he has now is artic issues with the letter R!!!! He is probably somewhere on the spectrum, but nothing really intense, and some professionals don't think there is anything other than ADHD going on. I don't know, I just know where he was, and how difficult the climb to get here was. But it was worth it, and now he loves fish because of all the Omega 3-6-9 he took! I'm writing because I want to encourage all parents to keep at it, and that I know how hard it is keeping it all together. Thanks to all of you for your support and advice! Guest guest
YEAH!! Thanks for sharing and I am so happy to hear that he is doing well. I think it shows the importance of finding the right services for apraxia - I know that was the case with us. My son did not say " momma " until right before his 4th birthday and now at 5 1/2 he is speaking in short sentences and even singing songs. A couple of years ago I never thought he would ever speak but through his hard work and the right therapy/interventions for him he is now doing great. He still has a long way to go, but we are very hopeful for the future. > > Hi- > > I was very active on this board when my son was really suffering at age > 2-3, and couldn't speak.
