Guest guest
Actually, if you look at the new opinions 'just' forming in the world, mainstream is just 'now' beginning to look at a medical association with our children's condition. Quite frankly, apraxia and dyspraxia are most commonly an offshoot of hypotonia either in the face/body or both which is indeed, a medical condition! Did any one watch The Doctors today on TV whereby the vaccination issue was discussed? Mainstream is just now beginning to discuss what many moms have figured out eons ago, that there is an underlying physical component that is compromising development resulting in hypotonia, and motor apraxia/dyspraxia. We got a long, long way admitedly, with neurodevelopmental therapy but we simply could not have achieved full recovery with Mark had we not addressed the issues with his immune system via biomed. Believe me..... I so wish that I didn't need to change diets, do supplements and all of the 'other' stuff. My life was much easier without it! But, I just couldn't attain complete recovery without doing the biomed. I really, really tried. I did! And you know what? The results are amaaaaazing if you find the right pieces of the puzzle that are key to your particular child. The mainstream doctors are eons behind us..... if you wish to wait for them to catch up, that is indeed your choice. But.... find a recovered apraxic/dyspraxic child who has not utilized some type of biomedical intervention (I include fish oils as being a biomedical intervention) and I would say that they are rare. To fully address apraxia/dyspraxia, we must look at everything that is amiss in a child's body, not just a few selected things that 'suit' us. As far as Gabby having a medical degree, I don't think that Gabby even realizes that this topic has been furthered to such an extent. She normally does research and then posts her findings that she finds might be of interest to others. I appreciate her efforts. Some of the stuff she posts, I read and other stuff, I just delete..... as is my perogative. But..... there have been many little gems included in those posts and I have learned a few tidbits just via reading. Do you have a medical degree or do you believe that your experience as a mother of a child with dyspraxia entitles you to a bit of wisdom and understanding that is perhaps, sometimes' beyond the doctors? Because I can tell you right now..... my old pediatrician has asked 'me' for advice with regards to neurological disorders stating that they don't cover much in medical school..... so that is what a medical degree will get you at times! He was astounded when he saw Mark last..... couldn't believe the difference in him. Janice Mother of Mark,
