Do the fish oils every work slowly?

I have read so many stories of kids having surges over night with fish oils so

naturally I was expecting a little more. I bought Nordic Naturals 3-6-9 and

EPA. I checked the amounts of each item and I believe it's the right formula.

I started my son with one cap of 3-6-9 and slowly worked him up to two of those

and one EPA. He has also been gluten and dairy free for a few weeks. We are

also soy free and mostly processed food free. I also really limit sugar.

He does seem to be trying more to say words where before it seemed like he

didn't even try at all. By the way, he has never said a word clearly but he

makes LOTS of noise and he makes his voice go up and down like he is talking.

He also imitates animal sounds and he'll imitate several other words but they

aren't clear at all.

I've also noticed in the last couple weeks that he seems to be louder than

usual. (See my post on the loud kid) And he was super loud before. My ears

ring after a day with my boy. He has also been throwing more tantrums and is

having a lot of trouble accepting when he doesn't get his way. I know this is

typical for a 2 year old but it definitely seems to be worse since we started

the oils.

So should I give him more? Is there another supplement that might help? Or

should I just be patient?

Thanks for any insight!

Christy
