Guest guest
Dear Friend, I am the director of a small private school in Central Florida. We specialize in providing educational services to students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, auditory processing disorders, and language impairments. One of our families has embraced a very unique opportunity and I hope this will find a way to impact your organization and the families you are reaching. Randy Grossman, a parent of two youngsters with a diagnosis of autism, has captured the attention of a group of musicians who were very moved by his family and their journey in life. Caring for a youngster with special needs is a big undertaking, but having two little boys with special needs carries its own burden. What Randy recognized in himself and other parents he began to know, was that many of them go through a series of steps in dealing with the reality of their lives. As he shared this with some of his colleagues in the music industry, a concept was launched to create a special music CD dedicated to the children with special needs and their caregivers. The title track, " The Life That's Chosen Me " has been written, and produced by -Good from Nashville. This title track was premiered in Orlando, on December 9, 2007 at the school of one of Mr. Grossman's children. Princeton House Charter School provides services to more involved autistic children. This song will touch the heart of every parent, grandparent and caregiver of children with special needs. Whether it is a child with Autism, Down's syndrome, a medically fragile child, all of our special children have parents who go through life's journey with such emotions, fears, and revelations that it is important that our communities, our neighbors all begin to understand their journey and how to help them. This story, and the other songs on the track, will inspire, and share those special moments our families experience. I have provided a link to our school website, and the music website that contains a downloadable version of this song to share. We want to share that this CD is being created about and for our children and their caregivers. Organizations, such as Autism Speaks, Princeton House Charter School and others will be the beneficiaries of the proceeds of the sale of the CD. I am not sure about the planned release date of the full CD, but will keep you informed. Thanks for your time. I hope that we can reach our parents and caregivers about this CD, through you, and your association with education.
