My son has been taking half a teaspoon of magnesium and have been benefiting from that in facilitating his bowl movement. But recently, he started to have bad Diarrhea. Could any of you share some experience in the dosage that might help. Their Dan Dr. recommended a teaspoon twice a day and their neuorologist only recommended one sixth a teaspoon a day, which did not seem to be enought to help his bowl movement. Guest guest
Different kinds of magnesium have different effects: Magnesium Glycinate is very gentle but citrate, sulphate and chloride forms can loosen stools. Maybe you could experiment with the type you use.
Guest guest
+ Magnesium is the " bowel mineral " . You can give it to bowel tolerance. If diarrhea starts cut back. Use this as your guide for dosage. Everyone should have at least 2 bowel movements a day.
