Florida's H.B. 1405

Alert for you folks in Florida. There's a move to require you to have your

preschooler's forced to take the flu vaccine. I wrote to the Chair of the

Health Care Services Policy Committee. Please write to your own

representatives. I've appended the e-mail I sent so you can see what's what.

I'm most adamantly anti-FLU vax, and you will see why as you read on....

Sir, thank you for taking time to read this e-mail. It is urgent. I only just

found out about the stealth attack on parental rights posed by H.B. 1405 this

very moment. After reading an article on Bay News 9 under today's date, I had

to write. Sir, my son T.J., has just turned 4. You may think that is not such

a big deal, but it is. You see, T.J. was given a flu shot when he was 10 months

old, on January 2, 2006. It was from a multi-dose vial of flu vaccine, which,

as you know, contains ethylmercury/thimerosal. My son ran a fever of 104.2 for

hours after the shot. He recovered from his fever, but stopped talking, stopped

cruising furniture and began to spend his days lying on the floor banging his

head on the carpet and moaning. Or, if he was able to move, he'd wallow (he

could no longer even crawl) across the floor lie in front of the refrigerator or

the washing machine when they were on and listen to them hum. Yes, T.J. was

autistic. This was a child who had no history of any neurological impairment on

either side of his family. This was child who was ahead in speech and gross

motor skills. I was told by the local autism advocacy evaluators that the best

I could hope for my son would be to get him enough therapy that he could

eventually live in a group home.

Sir, I've fought for my son's life for the last three years. I have bankrupted

myself to cover medical treatments that my insurance refuses to cover. I

finally had T.J. re-evaluated by a licensed psychologist last October. He has

completely lost his autism diagnosis. He, however, still has a generalized

motor-skill delay called dyspraxia. He is not universally comprehensible with

his speech, but he is learning. He only began speaking again on April 4, 2008.

Sir, I am writing to you because you are the Chair of the Health Care Services

Policy Committee. I believe that only a stong voice such as yours can derail

this dangerous legislation.

Please ask yourself if you were in my shoes and you had spent thousands of

dollars you didn't have to undo the effects of one flu shot, you had watched

your normal-bright son go from engaged and happy to distant and unconnected to

humanity, you had still so much left to do to recover your child from this

horror---if you were in my shoes, Sir, would you vote for this bill? Would you,

after reading this story, and please understand it is not unique, still vote to

demand parents like me re-poison their children with a vaccine for a normally

non-lethal disease for which the vaccine is more deadly than the disease? Sir,

I beg you. Please use your influence in the House to stop this. Not only is it

bad medicine for some of Florida's kids, like my T.J., it is a violation of my

rights as T.J.'s only parent to make health care decisions for my son.

I sincerely thank you for your time and I pray that you will help me and

countless parents like me to protect our children from voodoo science and

questionable vaccine safety that can and does destroy young minds.
