Guest guest
Hello Families Network! Thanks to all of you who responded to the action alert to contact Governor Corzine about the most recent cuts to DDD. We certainly need to keep the pressure on to prevent additional cuts. That being said, Family Advocacy Day will be March 16th from 11:30am to 2:30pm at the State House in Trenton. The day will begin with several speakers and a mini tutorial to teach you the most effective ways to approach legislators and speak with them about your concerns. Then we will spread our budget message throughout the halls of the State House. This is your opportunity to speak directly to the decision makers about funding the community residential waiting list and preventing additional cuts to DDD. Lunch, T-shirts and buttons will be provided. Please RSVP to me by March 9th if you plan to attend. I truly hope you will be able to make it - this is an important day! If you have not yet responded to the action alert mentioned above, you can still do so by going to http://capwiz.com/thearc/state/main/?state=NJ.
