hi,

My son is going into Kindergarten next year in Bergen County NJ.

I am looking for some advice on getting classification for services.

My son is acedmically above average but he has motor planning issues

orally, sensory dysfunction (has diminished but is still there),

expressive speech disorder, Hypotonia all over his body, and pramatic

speech disorder.

He also has an undiagnosed seizure condition (we cannot find it when

we do the EEG but he has had epidsode of absence seizures)

He currently receives 3 speeches ( 2 private and 1 group), OT and PT

as preschool disabled.

I also do speech, ot and pt privately.

the school system is not willing to test him at this time because

they do not see a need.

I have appointments with his developmental pediatrication for full

blowed testing privately.

My question is:

What classification do your apraxia children have in the school

system?

I worked too hard to have the school system drop my kid on his head!!!

any advice would be wonderful!!!

thanks in advance,

Alyssa- NJ
