The award recipient can be a parent, teacher, advocate, individual with autism spectrum disorder or anyone else who has made a difference in the autism community. Ms. Viles is the parent of a teen with Asperger's Syndrome and the Founder & Director of the Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate Program at Antioch University New England. She is also the Director of the New Hampshire Chapter of the Asperger's Association of New England and serves on AANE's Board of Directors. The Flutie Foundation is proud to partner with AccesSportAmerica for the 8th year to provide a fun summer activity for individuals on the autism spectrum! This adaptive program, located at Mass Hospital School in Canton, Massachusetts, offers children the opportunity to take part in windsurfing, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing, surfing, water-skiing and more! In addition, the instructor to participant ratio is often 1 to 1 or better! Sessions begin in June and run through early August.
