Guest guest
I actually did more browsing around the website, which I had not done before now. Before I looked at the method, which is good, but I was not interested in looking into the in-house programs (until now, out of curiosity) because we cannot afford the $780, which insurance does not cover. Anyways, I also called the center. The center said it was a 4 day plan. The first day was strictly evaluation. The second and third days were two 30 minute sessions (a half hour apart I think) and then the fourth da was oe hour (30 minutes with the child and 30 minutes with the parents). Now forgive me for questioning this in detail, but I work intensely with my son on a more regular basis than this (more days) and have been for some time and I just do not see how in less than 3 days, can have a " TRULY APRAXIC " child talking. Sorry, but I am now skeptical (and I have her program here at home) of the success of this program. Shouldn't I be skeptical? I use all sorts of methods from Sensory and Vestibular to Oral Motor and this woman must be a miracle worker or the kids she accepts in her center are not truly apraxic. " I " know for a fact that a truly apraxic child will not talk magically in 3 days from several 30 minute treatments, as I also know that fish oils will not make a truly apraxic child talk in 2 weeks. (Much more time is needed to build new neural pathways in the brain.) So, how can she guarantee this? Just curious. (P.S. I left a message in regards to this for her to call me back and she never did.)
