Guest guest Posted April 4, 2006 Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 Craig, I will be arriving the 12th…Mine is scheduled for the 13th. April 12th Group: Is anyone going to at Almater on the 12th? My daughter’s best friend, Fermin, is going to banded that day. She will be coming in from Chicago the 11th and surgery is the 12th. She is planning on going alone. I will try to have a friend stop by and check on her but it would be nice to know that someone else will be there J Not that Dr. Aceves and his team aren’t friends enough but its just nice to know that another potential long term friend is there. She jumped into this rather quickly upon hearing my initial results. My daughter is also considering it. It brings up some strange emotions when you begin to think of this surgery for your “little girl”. She is only 25 but has always had weight problems. While I balk at the thought of surgery and planted appliances for my “little girl” I have even more aprehension about her going down those same roads I traveled with continuous dieting and yo-yoing. I went from 300+ down to 173 and stayed there for 2 years ( pure hell ) and then up again and down. If genetics are indeed stacked against her then I think it makes sense to begin the journey sonner than later. Anyway…. If anyone is going to be there on the 12th please let me know. has very limited access to the Internet so my daughter forwards the group messages to her.
