Guest guest
The SLP asked me if I wanted to do a complete transition meeting or forgo that and just have an IEP meeting. At the time I said that I would just like to have an IEP meeting. Speech services are the only thing on his IEP. The future SLP will be at the IEP meeting as well as the current one. He has been to the elementary school before. (He has practically been raised there since he has two older brothers and I'm always volunteering). He has met his future teacher and talks to the principal like she was a fmaily friend. Can someone tell what the benefits to having a transition meeting would be rather than just an IEP meeting? I still have time to change my mind since his IEP isn't until May. Thanks, Julee
