Guest guest
I just wanted to let you all know since some of you are proponents of using fish oil (and I was too) that it can cause bleeding time to be longer. It says it in most of the literature you read. I have a six year old son with Apraxia and I was using Nordic naturals complete omega 369 liquid. 1/2 teaspoon in applesauce at lunch and the same at dinner. He cut the tips of his fingers last week in three places and I noticed it took a really long time to clot. Then in school he pulled off the bandaid and reopened one of the cuts. The nurse said it also took a really long time to clot. I remember once two years ago I took him to the doctor and they pricked his finger to take blood to test the iron, and at that time too it took a long time to clot. I called my pediatrician who is a homeopathic Dr. And knows ALOT about supplements. He told me to take my son off the fish oil immediately and gave me the name of a hemotologist. I'm just letting you all know that there is a possibility that this can happen.
