Special Guest Panel

SHINING LIGHT ON THE SPECTRUM

In recognition of " April as Autism Awareness Month "

West Bergen Mental Healthcare is hosting a Free Workshop

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2008, 7 - 9 P.M.

120 Chestnut Street, Ridgewood, NJ.

West Bergen's Asperger's Related Services is offering a free Shining Light

on the Spectrum workshop which will identify the 5 major Pervasive

Developmental Disorders (PDDs) and highlight the symptoms of Asperger's and

Autistic Disorder.

Learn more about the various symptoms and associated features found in

Asperger's and Autism from Dr. Jeanne Marron, Clinical Director of Asperger's

Related Services. Gain a glimpse of what it is like to have significant

social challenges as Riley and Lawson moderate a panel of

adolescents and adults who will share their first hand experiences of

difficulties and triumphs. Time will be set aside for questions from the

audience.

If you are already familiar with the PDDs or have first hand experience,

then bring a family member, friend, colleague, coach, educator, employer,

neighbor or someone who may cross the path of individuals on the spectrum

and benefit from this FREE presentation. Given the rates of PDDs in this

geographical area, that means just about anyone!

While the workshop is free, we ask that you pre-register by calling Crystal

Candiano at 201-934-1160 x. 7231.
