Recommendation for Preschool Disabled Program in Northern NJ

Hi-

I am researching preschool disabled programs for my daughter Kitty. She

will be 3 in September and we have begun the CPSE process. My town

(Weehawken) doesn't have a preschool program so I am trying to find the

most appropriate placement for her.

We are early in the process - she's being evaluated on the 18th, so the

CST hasn't recommended any schools yet. I want to make sure it's an

appropriate classroom and not just the program in the next town b/c

that's where they send all the kids.

She has been diagnosed with apraxia and sensory issues. She is not on

the spectrum and I do not believe she would benefit from ABA.

From my research in private programs, Summit Speech School no longer

accepts children without a hearing impairment, but Lake Drive School in

Mountainside does.

I would any advice on good programs in the Northern NJ area (and ones to

avoid).
