Big PRESCHOOL Dilemma

Hi,

How did you make the decision to what preschool to send your child?

My son who has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS 8 months ago, with

appraxia 3 months ago, recently with global dyspraxia and has

hypotonia and sensory issues has been getting different

recommendations.

He started talking recently, he is very smart and imitative if it's

something he can imitate. Even with dyspraxia and hypotonia when it

comes to the playground equipment he is very advanced, I think due

to his curiosity.

Anyway, most therapist recommended full time special needs

preschool, although we were thinking typical preschool would be

better.

We just visited Dr. Agin who obviously has a lot of experience and

she seemed to be very against putting him into special needs

preschool and thinking he needs typical preschool.

I didn't get a chance to ask all my questions as to why she thought

so. The only reason why I started to think recently that special

needs school would help him would be his appraxia. Now I'm confused.

I want to do what's best for him.

Any opinion, recommendations and experiences are welcome.

Thanks,

Nati
