Guest guest
For all the new people that don't know Tina McKenna I wanted to share a message sent out this past March after the sudden loss of her wonderful 36 year old husband. Tina just talked to me the other day as she is very shy and Tom was always her social butterfly. Tina also shared with me that she loves to garden and even has a secret garden with a hidden door and everything (don't worry I won't tell anyone where it is) So I said " of course you had to see that movie right? " and she said " what movie? " It has to be an early Xmas present to her!! Tina huge group hug to you and your two beautiful boys. So glad you are back!! PS -Tina's son Landon has a carnitine deficiency and sees a geneticist who specializes in metabolic disorders. She has a wealth of information to share on this for anyone interested in this topic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ messages from March 08 For those that may not know, Tina is one of our members here who is also one of the moderators. She has shared so much from her heart to help others -and I wish there was something I could have said to her other than " I'm so sorry " through tears. I know that as a wonderful husband and father, his love will always be remembered by Tina and Landon. Re: Updates about Tina and her children Thanks Liz, I have a few more updates for everyone –but first wanted to share that Tina called me today. She found out that Tom didn't die of a heart attack –but of a brain aneurism. Tina shared through tears that it does appear as if her 4 year old apraxic son Landon is starting to accept the fact that his dad has passed away because she told both boys to find something special that they can put into the coffin with daddy. Hayden, her 8 year old got a special Pokemon card and Landon looked around and couldn't find anything so Tina suggested he draw a nice picture for Daddy that they'll put in his pocket. She said he drew a nice picture of 4 stick figures -his family. He then and said to Tina " this is you, Daddy, Hayden and me. Mom can you write on here " Daddy I miss you " Tina told me that Tom was her " social butterfly " and she's so shy. Tom was the one with all the friends and everybody loved him and he was always introducing her to others. I reminded her that she has friends from all over the world here. Here's some beautiful words about Tina's husband –thanks Liz and thanks again !
