Guest guest
I just had to share this with everyone. My son, Adam, turned 4 years old today. He has Apraxia with limited speech and is in the early stages of using a communication device to work on a total communication approach. Anyway, we invited his entire preschool class (9 kids)which he does attend a typical preschool and has thus far been very sucessful due to a wonderful teacher he has-and classmates. TODAY WAS THE FIRST TIME HE WAS ABLE TO BLOW OUT HIS BIRTHDAY CANDLE. The parents were so excited for him as was I and his father. I had tears in my eyes. It was so exciting that we had another cake for him later in the evening with his family and he was able to do it again-a major break through. What a gift it was to see him do that-and he was SO PROUD OF HIMSELF!! Way to go Adam!!!
