Guest guest
First of all thanks for " The late Talker " and the creation of the Cherab org. All these resources make me feel that I am not alone and that there is HOPE for our children. I found out that my son had apraxia at 2 years old, when I had to look for a neurologist who gave me the diagnosis since I found out in the Internet the symptoms of Apraxia. He also has Sensory Issues. (he can't stand being in crowded and busy places, he doesn't like the vacuum cleaner, has low muscle tone seats in " W " 95% of the time and his attention span is very minimal among other issues). My son is now 3.2 years old and he will be attending to a special school. My district gave me 5 days of ST for 30 min. 2 at home and 3 at school. I couldn't find a school with a Prompt SP in a school within normal proximity to my house. I am a little scared that the therapist at the school did not work for my son and the district did not want to give me the five days at home with the Prompt therapist. How can I proceed to make sure to step in if things are not working for my son. I have already experimented regular Speech therapy with slowwwwwwww results when he was in EI. I don't want to fall into the same this is a valuable time for my son. He is starting to put three word sentences together. Besides my son does not stay seated at home for the 30 min session of st. His focus and attention worries me 100%. In addition I started giving him fish oil a month ago, but the brand I used had the following ratio for 2 softgels: DHA 120 mg EPA 174 mg GLA (evening primrose oil) 25 mg vitamin E 30 IU I have bought PROEFA and PROEPA and FISHIES from your website. I want to know how should I make the transition. Would he be affected? For what I read in your files the ratio is 2 ProEfas per 1 ProEpa ( this lastone should be introduced a month after the ProEFAs, but I am wondering since I had used fish oil in similar amounts can I use both?). Thanks a lot
