Guest guest
Has anyone in this group had a child with only 2 blood vessles in the umbilical cord? My son with verbal apraxia and coordinational aphasia only had 2 blood vessels in his. The doctors didn't seem to think it was a big deal, but I was just curious if this could be a possible link to his speach problems. The nurses in the ICU told me they had never seen a baby as small as smile. He was 5 weeks early, but smiled the day he was born. I have since read this was an ealy indicator he woud have speach problems. Has anyone else seem that? Sorry if these questions seem silly, but the information I have found here has already helped him. Since I have started him on borage oil and cod liver oil, his disire to speak has increased a lot. A few new sounds, but no new words yet. I am happy with the small steps he is making. He made no steps for a very long time. He turns 5 today, and only says momma, oh, wow, uh oh, and a few approximations. But small steps are still steps in the right direction!
