Dr. Cave wrote a book on it. Generally you test titers to see what they are immune from, split the shots up and get fresh vaccines. You also researcjh to see if any are unnecessary, conflict with beliefs, alerhies or immune disease the jkid has. Guest guest
We did the alternate schedule and still reacted to the vaccines. There are safe homeopathic vaccinest that you can use. Check them out at your nearest clinic that is reputable. Personally, from my research, any vaccines that are offered by the pharmaceutical companies are not safe. My mother in law is a pharmasist that is also head of a big company and she wouldn't touch a vaccine! ilizzy03 wrote: > There is not just one alternate. Guest guest
I'm sure there have been many of these out there, and I did find some in the archives, but not to the questions I have. My son is due for DPT, polio and MMR. (Kindergarten shots) I already have told the dr. that he won't be getting the MMR until he's older, and then after titers to see if there is even a need. Dr. has no problem with that. I'm wondering about the others, though. Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetnus and Polio. a) Are there titers for these as well? Can they be broken up to smaller, one disease at a time shots? c) If he receives them, I had already planned on splitting these up anyway, as in, giving the DPT one month and waiting 3 months for the Polio, is that far enough apart? d) If he receives them, My child will have a blood draw to make sure there are no problems with his liver before receiving the shots, anything besides liver panel that should be thought about? e) Are there problems or concerns I should be addressing with his being on 2 EFA's, 1 EPA and 200iu vitE with 200mg gammaE every morning and 2 EFA's and 1 EPA at supper? Should he have them 'held' before shots or possibly after? Or does it matter? Before this diagnosis, my child received all of the shots he was supposed to, besides the varicella. Now I want to do a bit more research. If anyone has a good unbiased site that could help with these questions, that would be great also! Thanks! Guest guest
Not sure this will help, but it offers an alternative vaccination schedule to that which Doctors tout. It is certainly biased. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/12/29/vaccination-schedu\ le-part-one.aspx Nadine > > > > I'm sure there have been many of these out there, and I did find > some in the archives, but not to the questions I have. > > > > My son is due for DPT, polio and MMR. Guest guest
Our experience and many others tell that our kids are not tolerating ANYof the shots. We got an exemption. With four boys we have done it all. We did the late schedule, starting our first vaccine at nearly two with one son, DTP....disasterous!, on schedule.....disasterous! I would do all the research you can possibly do before deciding this is what you want for your child. For us, I would run to the ends of the earth if they were forcing it on us, but here in Canada, I don't have to do that. nadineck wrote: > Not sure this will help, but it offers an alternative vaccination schedule to that which > Doctors tout.
