Could find a book you like regarding your symptoms, they usually have a reference somewhere in the back or a list of doctors or treatment centers you could call or email them for a list, or have them mail you one. Guest guest
I'm in Pennsylvania (I know you asked for New Jersey and New York) but there is a Dr. Sullivan in burg,PA that I went to. His website is www.pabetterhealth.com. If you go into the section where it tells you what he treats he lists the entire phase I and phase II of the diet. It is VERY strict at first but in 3 months, my nails straightened out and my thyroid got better. I used this diet along with Yeast Defense 2x/day and Nystatin powder 2x/day. I don't know what I would've done without him but is a big yeast believer. Hope the website or he can help you if you decide to see him. > I've been doing a lot of research on candida because it seems to be > the link between my psoriasis, yeast infections, and recurrent > urinary tract infections to say the least. Guest guest
Hello Nanci,I am so sorry to hear that you are in such bad shape. I have cervical disk herniation at the C4-5 and disk protrusions at the C5-6 & C6-7 level. I also have disk bulging at the L5-S1 level. My legs go numb and the sciatic nerves in both legs really give me a lot of pain. I also have a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders from the injury that I have ,so I can relate to what you are going through. I have been fortunate enough to have a doctor that finally gave me something that has relived the constant pain that I have been in . I was given a pin patch to wear. It has really given me the kind of relief that I have been looking for. The pain level has dropped to where it is really manageable. I hope that you will be able to find some type of relief soon. We are all here for you and will try to help you as much as we can. ANY TIME THAT YOU NEED TO COME HERE AND VENT WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE ,PLEASE DO IT. I wish that I could be of more help to you.All I can do is to encourage you to come here and let us try to help in any way that we can. MAY YOU HAVE A BETTER DAY TOMORROW THAN YOU HAVE TODAY. Guest guest
Hello Nanci sorry to see that so much pain has brought you to our group. I hope we can help you with support at least. I had neck surgery a 1 1/2 ago with a ton of neck problems for the surgeron to deal with. Spinal stenosis, bone spurs a reverse curve in my spine too. My dr told me that runs in families I found out later my sister and brother had it too. I had my neck fused and after he cleaned most of the problems up I have little pain in my neck IF I am careful. But I was just like you, wanting to scream the pain was so bad and nothing helped. Have you seen a pain management dr?? IF not that should be your first step to get your pain under control NOW so you can figure out how to deal with the problems. I couldn't even think I hurt so much.I have a pain dr now but I WISH I had had one back then. Anyway something that always helped me was moist heat on my neck, like the gel things they sell that heat up and they go in a tube. Even a washcloth and a heating pad will work too. The moist heat relieves the pain and stiffness. Because the nerves are compressed they send out signals to the muscles to tighten up and it all hurts. We don't talk about pain meds here but do you take muscle relaxers or Nuerotin helped me alot.It blocks nerve pain and I still take a good dose for my sciatic pain. Unfortunately my back surgery didn't turn out as well. As for pillows yes a neck pillow is the best just make sure you are laying down flat when you use it too. I have several neck exercises my dr gave me to help with neck pain. I will see if I can scan them or find them online to send them too you. I hope some of this helps but please don't feel alone in it, I know how terrible it is. I went thru that pain for almost a year before I found a dr to help me. We'll be here for you anyway we can and we should have a chat time set up next week so try and join us if you can. All of us here suffer from pain, most of us 24/7 so I hope we can be of some help or support to you. Please feel free to post anytime you need too. We'll be here for you. Best wishes for a less painful day. Sharon Group Owner p.s. I found out lone ago that being tense made it tons worse so relaxe in anyway you can and try not to be upset it will make your pain so much worse. > > > Hi, > > This is my first post and I am in need of some help please. > > I have had a cervical neck whiplash injury for over 23 years, self > induced by whipping head up and down to dry my very long hair for > years suggested by a beautician. > > I suffer from no curve in the neck, actually going in the wrong > direction, bulging discs and pinched nerves along with muscle spasms > and severe tightness in every muscle in my neck, scapula, shoulders > and back. > I can't sleep due to the neck tightening up so badly and I have used > every neck pillow out there. > To add to my situation, I lost my smell 4 months ago due to a virus > and complicated by zicam and Zithromax which can cause you to lose > your smell and taste. > I am now on the anti anxiety medication, Xanax and I am coming out > of my skin, I am always uptight and nervous and shaking. > I use hot and cold packs, hot showers, ben gay, tried physical > therapy, just about anything and everything, even chiropractors who > I hate to say exaserbated the condition I have today. > The first one I went to was after I had my gallbladder out years ago > and after the surgery I couldn't breathe, so I thought I was > throwing an embolism and went to the hospital but it was negative. > A neighbor said that I may have a pinched nerve since I was having > pain running down my left arm. Guest guest
Could be the SPEAK...I know when we started Abby on the EPA, she was a pill for a day or two, then she mellowed out again. Something about things in the brain are starting to " fire " and it takes a day or two to get back to normal. Try giving him an Epsom Salt bath...it got us through it! in OH > > HELP!! So, today started a day of BAD behavior. It is something I have never seen before! He is screaming at the top of his lungs! He did it all through speech therapy today. He has always been a good tempered kid. I don't know if this has anything to do with SPEAK. Advice?? > > Yvette > > > > >
