Tappan Zee Athletics along with the Tappan Zee Elementary and Cottage Lane administration has teamed up with The Blauvelt Lions Club, The SOCSD Education Foundation, The SOS Club and SOCES PTA to introduce TZ's mascot, Zee's very first children's book! TZE & CLE held a contest last fall asking children to submit their version of the story of Zee. Over 125 submissions were collected. In the end, stories by Sky (CLE) and Ava (TZE) were combined to create " The Story of Zee " . The book also includes a poem about Zee by CLE student . Professional Illustrator, Marc of Richmond, VT then took the story and put his illustrators touch to create a special volume that is destined to become a SOCSD classic.
