Hello all--

Quick update on the 3 Hr Glucose Tolerance Test for those who were

wondering. I just found out a short while ago. The Dr's office called (nurse)

and

left a message on my CELL phone without even calling the home phone, which was

a bit annoying since I was HOME all day and would have liked to have had the

phone call! arrgh

Anyhoo-- she said that the GTT came up NORMAL and there is NO GESTATIONAL

DIABETES!!!

This is AWESOME news! The odd thing that I mentioned to Tom this weekend is

that I wouldn't be surprised if it's GD, because I just feel BLECHY and it

would make sense with a few things, BUT I seem to be having more of a

HYPOGLYCEMIC reaction most of the time-- so GD wouldn't make sense in that

respect.

And I was getting a little nervous on what the heck I'd eat for the next 8

wks if it WAS GD since I can barely eat food with the gallbladder issues as it

is.

So I am relieved-- in many ways but primarily due to health for me and baby!

The nurse also left a message saying that the test results was a good thing,

but that they needed me to call back because the Dr had a message for me.

Not sure what THAT's all about-- but I'll call them tomorrow and find out since

it was after closing when I got the message today. I'm hoping it's

nothing-- but it's odd for him to leave a message with me about anything-- he's

not

really the type.

So-- that's it! Good news!!!

Thanks for all the prayers!

PS-- TAKING the test was HORRIBLE btw! LOL I started fasting at 6:30pm the

night before, and the test was SUPPOSED to start at 8:30 the next morning.

Turns out the Dr's office forgot to fax the requisition, so they couldn't

start the bloodwork til 9:30. I got out of the test after 12:30 and had to

immediately go to my OB appt, and then got out of THERE at almost 2pm

by the time I got to the OB's office-- I was all but passed out and going

into total hypoglycemic reaction and seriously was sick. The poor Dr freaked out

on me a little and got quite concerned. I just kept asking him to hurry up

so I could GO HOME! lol I just wanted OUT of there and wanted to go home

so I could go eat on the way and feel better. Ahhh thank God it was only one

day of that though-- because I was sick throughout the next day, too! blech
