Guest guest
Dear Sue, I'm so very sorry to hear you and your son are both going through such a rough time right now. Watching a loved one hurt, especially a child, is the most frustrating part of this disease. (I can stand pain for myself, but watching suffer so much really makes me come undone.) You are not an unfit mother. You are doing everything you can to help him. I'm sure he knows that and knows how much you love him. Sue, can you possibly put off your surgery until you are in a better condition, or is it absolutely necessary to have it now? Love ya lots, Rose ====== From: despratmom@... Guest guest
Sue, You have to try to convince your doctor that you and your son need more aggressive treatment....I should talk, I am in the same boat as you. There are doctors out there who will treat more aggressively, you and I just have to find them. As for your hysterectomy.....is it really imperative that you get this right away? Did you get a second opinion? I have heavy bleeding and have had two doctors want to do this, yet I hesitate, I am close to menopausal age and would rather tough it out then take a chance of really suffering a flare from the stress of surgery. Of course you and I should both listen to the doctors, supposedly they know more than we do. Your problem may be more serious than heavy bleeding....so use your gut instinct to decide what is best for you. Hang in there, better days are coming. Guest guest
Oh please. Andy has been nothing but abusive and if you, like many of us here, have suffered through his ongoing abuse you too would have some choice words. I have been here for 2 1/2 years. No one can tell me to go. And yes. Andy is abusive; Proof on demand. [ ] Please DCP........Please keep out of this! I enjoy listening to intellegent people, not ignorant people such as yourself. There are many of us out here who like to hear both sides of the story. We have some very bright people in this group and is most informative when people who are knowledgeable give us what they have learned in their studies and their own treatment. Arguments and name calling is not necessary DCP. Satya, Andy, Karyn, Grace......etc Please let us know how you are doing?? You too ! Moskovetch is doing a L3 L4 diskectomy and L3,4 and 5 fusion on me on Jan 20th. I really believe he knows his stuff and totally trust him. Guest guest
He sent me to the Palms of Pasadena in Gulf Port for my MRI. I am not exactly sure where he does his surgeries out of. He is the doctor for the Devil Rays base ball team and many of the other professional sport players profession. He has a very good rep, but I would have rather stayed with dr. Moskovit. Guest guest
, perhaps it would help to clarify what stories are bothering you. I think we need to discuss freely a lot of bodily functions, including sex. I agree with you that we should not swear, though. > hi; Thanks to everyone for the information. I have learned so much! I just was wondering if we could keep the language and the stories clean on this loop. I would really appreciate it! have a great day! Greetings to all PLEASE It would be for me a good thing to place a warning in the subject line letting me know that this topic is of a sensitive nature. My personal choice is to not take part in sensitive nature conversations when it is a mixed gender group. So for me please, let me know. I thank you in advance for your consideration. If anyone is wondering if it is because of religious reasons the answer is yes. Guest guest
Could we take the political discussion to another venue and get back to being a support group and information source for our children/grandchildren with Apraxia? I am so tired of looking at a daily digest with only one or two messages on topic. Agree to disagree and get on with the important function for which this group was formed. Thanks! Guest guest
Me too.....I've deleted all the emails today and there have been one too many. These conversations have little to do with her being a working woman raising a special needs child. She hasn't done so yet. He's barely 4 months! It's about everyone here getting there 2 cents in with their partisan opinions. I deal enough with that here in my job! This is the one place where I look to obtain information on other families dealing with the same issues as me a child who initially diagnosed with severe oral/verbal apraxia. And through the help of this site I was able to provide him witht the therapies via. Speech, OT, Vitamins, Pro-EFA & Pro-EPa & as of late Listening Therapy is now talking up a storm and communicating quite nicely. I don't give a rat's about Palin being a woman, mother & the nominee for VP! That is not going to assist us in anyway with our children. Guest guest
I am in complete agreement, and second your motion! I come to this site for advice, support, and questions pertaining to our children. I am tired of seeing political commentary, and find it sad that so much time is devoted to this, as our dear children have issues that need to be addressed NOW, and this current political bantering is not doing them any service. Please take it elsewhere, we have many questions, advice, and suggestions that relate to the here and now! I hope that you take this request to heart. Many Thanks, a Justice > > Could we take the political discussion to another venue and get back to > being a support group and information source for our > children/grandchildren with Apraxia?
