Guest guest
, I have two children that had Dyspraxia symptoms. My daughter is 17 and mostly fine now, but continues to have OCD and anxiety, but she had 4 years of Occupational Therapy for her Sensory Integration Disorder. She also was put in special day classes for her academic challenges until she was ready. In 11th grade she was pulled from her special classes and had the resource room instead. My son is 15 and so far behind, because of speech and language and pragmatics and reading difficulties. He also had 4 years of Occupational Therapy, but he still needs vision therapy and Listening therapy for his Central Auditory Processing disorder. He still struggles with decoding. He has severe Dyslexia. Good Luck, Lorraine > > Just curious if anyone here has multiple children with apraxic issues? > >
Guest guest
, I know I have seen siblings with apraxia either on YouTube or The Talking Page. I find your question interesting because of what happened to me. My daughter Shyann is 9.5 yrs and has pure speech apraxia. I believed for a long time that it was because of a traumatic birth. Then in October of 2006 my husband found out that he had a 13 year old daughter. When we met her for the first time I was surprised to hear her talk - she obviously had speech issues. I later found out from her SLP (who is also my daughter's SLP) that the 13 year old also has apraxia. From that point on I started believing that Shyann's apraxia is genetic. When I watched Inside Edition I heard an older child, Horowich (I know the spelling is wrong on her last name) who is 21 years old, use the exact same speech patterns as heard with my husband's 13 year old. I don't know if this helps you any. It's an interesting point to ponder. Hugs from Shyann and me. Joy [ ] Anyone have more than one apraxic child in the same family? Just curious if anyone here has multiple children with apraxic issues?

Guest guest
-So, is there a genetic link in your family or his? Also, is your link " autism " genes or what? Or do you know or have a clue? -- In , a DeVelbiss <gabrieladevelbiss@...> wrote: > > I have to ASD boys with apraxia and their twin cousins that are younger also have APRAXIA!!!
