even though my son isn't a fast talker, he has trouble with a lot of words.

When he has

difficulty, i just say " turtle talk "   this seems to help him slow his attempt at

a word and

usually works fine.

Subject: [ ] additional sounds

Good afternoon

I could use some feedback. My daugher Carly, diagnosed with Apraxia last

February, is adding sounds to words. For example we hear

SPOAP instead of soap and CDOW instead of COW. Our EI therapist had us breaking

down the words and practicing each part slowly; however, she continues to add

the extra sound. Our new therapist says she will simply outgrow this habit. What

are your thoughts?
