Appreciate everyones responses. Just to follow-up, we concluded our IEP and

actually secured ESY for speech (2x weekly) and OT (1x) and in the fall we have

a slot in a mixed preschool 3's class in a somewhat nearby public school (1/2

days with access to speech and OT). We will have to negotiate for pull out

sessions when school begins. We are generally happy and hopeful with this

outcome. The vibe in our community had been funding and resources are limited,

so expect the bare minimum. That being said we did better than anticipated.

Still need to tour the preschool, since it is not our designated public school

that we are familiar with. We've also got enrollment with a community nursery

school as a fall back if the county program is not what we expect in Sept.

Planning to continue supplementing with private speech and possibly add

additional private speech to cover all the school breaks and maybe during ESY.

We've heard mixed reviews on the effectiveness of the 7 week session with a new

therapist.

Always happy to share our experiences and thanks again for your feedback.

daughter is in this preschool 3 full day setting with pull out ST and OT and

thriving. >
