I don't know if it will be enough to correct it...you will have to see.

But fish oil, vit E, speech and occupational therapy - whatever you do -

I don't think anything will " correct " this. However I do think there

are interventions that will minimize the impact the motor planning

issues have on our kids. But until we understand the REASOn our kids

have the motor planning issues in the first place, its hard to imagine

truly reversing it.

We did not have big sensory issues until we started omega 3. (cod liver

oil, actually). It got so bad that we stopped after a month, and then

totally lost all progress in speech and coordination, but the sensory

stuff subsided. Switched to omega 3/6/9 - improvements in

speech/coordination returned. As I bumped the dose to twice a

day...sensory stuff began to crop up again, but not as bad as with DHA.

Remeber, there is a little vit E in the omega 3/6/9 (15 iu/pill), but

none in the cod liver oil. The surge in speech and coordination was

worth dealing with the sensory stuff. We found a great OT, and were

introduced to " brushing techniques " . Sounded like a bunch of voo-doo to

me, but gave it a try. Still don't quite understand why it helped, but

brushing definitely DID help with the sensory issues. But ultimately it

did all go away on higher doses of alpha d tocopherol. -
