Guest guest
Lays just added possible corn oil to the chips. Where are you getting the flour and SCD recipes?
Guest guest
I can tell you what we eat.... Breakfast.... eggs or gfcf pancakes made with Kinnikinick brand pancake mix (tasty....special occasions only), fruit or sometimes Rice puff (no sugar) organic cereals Lunch.... hardest item! I usually make meat roll-ups... at the beginning of the week I will cook some chicken or some roast or chicken wings (or legs). For lunch I send the meat on its own either thinly sliced and rolled up or just plain pieces. I then send some nice raw veggies, usually a piece of fruit like a pear or a plum, a Lara Bar (passed my 'healthy' test) Mark is a teenager and eats a LOT so on some occasions some plain Lays Potato Chips (last time I checked they were GFCF) And when there are some left over from the day before, I toss in an SCD carrot/banana muffin. He isn't starving..... and he sure is growing! Milk: Almond Breeze (natural) Dinner: Meat, LOTS of veggies of different colors and varieties lightly steamed and a piece of fruit. That's about it! I keep it simple and shop in the fresh food aisles in the grocery store. I buy organic when possible and avoid any type of processed foods unless their ingredients are 'scrupulous'! For snacks we eat a lot of trailmix.... full of nuts (good because nuts are Omega 3 rich) and I really like the SCD cookbooks for baking. We love to make SCD carrot muffins or carrot cake. There are a lot of SCD goodies that can be made with Almond flour. Be careful of the processed foods that are GFCF. Use them in moderation. I believe that sugars are the real culprits to our kids so really do avoid the high fructose corn syrup like the plague..... it is simply poison! Just.... stay away from all sugar, okay? It's one of the baddies that got our kids in this 'bad' spot in the first place.... Janice [sPAM]Re: [ ] autoimmune issues Elena thank you so much for taking the time to gather this information. I feel overwhelmed, but i guess it takes time to transition the diet. i would love to see a sample menu of what your daughter eats to inspire me! ethan eats a ton of fruits and veggies, so i have that on my side! thanks pam
