SPECIAL TIMES CHILDREN'S PROGRAM DATES ARE IN!! Call for details. New

activities forming!

Tuning-in Music Classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons,

beginning September 17th at the Hillcrest Communit Center!

Session I (9/24, 10/1,8,15,22, make up day is 10/29)

Session II (11/5, 12, 19, 26, 12/3, 10, make up day is 12/17)

Gymnastics will be held on Thursdays evenings at 6:45 at Westy's Gym in

Hardyston, beginning on September 26!

10/2,9,16,23,30 11/13, 20 12/4 (12/11 is the onlymake-up day)

Indoor Soccer - Monday evenings

Sept 29, Oct 6, 20, 27 Nov 3, 10, 17, Dec 1

2 Groups - Ages 5-10 6:00-6:45pm Ages 11+ 7:00pm-7:45pm

FAMILY OUTING!!!!! BIG APPLE CIRCUS - CIRCUS OF THE SENSES

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29th 6:30-7:0PM

under the Big Top at Lincoln Center

Circus of the Senses provides those with vision or hearing impairments and

other disabilities an opportunity to experience the excitement of Circus

under the Big Top!

HELPS (Helping Early Learning and Play Skills)

A program for toddlers (18mos - 3-year olds) who are involved in Early

Intervention

or toddlers with minor delays. Offered on Tuesday or Friday mornings.

Tues: 9:30 - 10:30 or 11:00 - 12:00 ~ Fri: 9:30 - 10:30 or 10:45-11:45

Parent / Caregiver WORKSHOPS (stipends available)

Professionals welcome - pro development credits offered

Tuesday evening, October 7th - 7pm

Topic: " Is Your Child a Target of Bullying? "

Intervention strategies for parents of children with disabilities.

Tuesday evening, October 14th - 7pm

Topic: " Parent / Professional Collaboration "

Focuses on collaborative teaming, communication, and advocacy. Specially

designed for parents and educators to learn these skills together.

UNITED WAY Passaic County VOICES

presents a County-Wide Summit!

The purpose is to bring communities together to zone-in on our priority

issues, shape a shared vision and select and create solutions in

partnership.

The United Way Passaic County is a partner and funder of

ASCF's HELPS and Special Times Programs.

Come out! Speak out! on behalf of Upcounty residents!!

Lite supper & transportation to Paterson provided by UWPC. Call for more

ASCF is assisting the Family Support Organization (FSO) of Passaic County in

rebuilding their Food Pantry. Please help if you are able.

You can bring non-perishable food items to ASCF's office on

Monday - Fridays 10am - 3pm

GRANT OPPORTUNITY for

CHILDREN'S HEALTH-RELATED EXPENSES

The UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation (UHCCF) has announced that new

grants are available to help children who need critical health care

treatment, services, or equipment not covered or not fully covered by their

parents' health benefit plans.

UHCCF provides grants to families to help pay for child health care

services such as speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy,

prescriptions and medical equipment such as wheelchairs and eyeglasses.

Parents and legal guardians may apply for grants up to $5,000 per child.
