Hi ,

Can you please let me know how you found an ABA therapist that was so good? I am

considering ABA for my dd who is 8 y.o. & do not know where to begin to look for

a good program. We live in southern NJ.

Thanks so much.

Yvette

ABA was great for my daughter. She made so much progress. I would say

that " strict " ABA just means badly done ABA - any good ABA provider

should tailor the program to your child's needs. Bad ABA is not good

for anyone, and there are certainly bad providers. My daughter found

her ABA sessions incredibly fun - her therapists made learning/working

fun for her, and they gave her such great reinforcement and positive

feedback.

My daughter's ABA therapist used the Kaufman kit with her a lot. We

started ABA because my daughter was diagnosed PDD-NOS as well. She is

now completely recovered from autism and apraxia. I think ABA was a

big part of her recovery.
