I give my son who is 30lbs 2 ProEFA and 1 ProEPA per day. Like I mentioned, we removed the CLO and he continued on MB-12. It didn't take long (maybe a week or so) and then the babbling really went crazy. He still doesn't talk though. But, it has just been so nice to hear " normal " sounds. Hope that you too start hearing better sounds. Joanna http://drewsautismd iary.blogspot. com > > > > Hi all, > > I just wanted to post some encouraging news. I started my son on the fish oil protocol from this website last month. We started with 2 ProEFA and 1 ProEPA. My son is completely non-verbal and does not babble other than the ocassional " mmm " sound. Within about a week, out of nowhere, we were hearing " dada " , " go " , " kane " (our dog's name), and maybe even " car " . HOWEVER, none of these were used appropriately. ..I DON'T CARE! I will take consonant sounds and more than one syllables anyday compared to what we had. Let me note that my son is on the spectrum (22 months old). Before we started any of the DAN protocol, I had tried just the ProEFA (this was about 6 months ago). He immediately began babbling but it ended shortly. He was placed on CLO and MB-12 shots, per his DAN, and again we heard a bit of babbling but it was extremely short lived. So, I tried this protocol and I've heard more sounds than I've heard in his entire life. I don't know if they will " stick " because he does seem to gain a sound and lose it but it is continuous noise that sounds a lot more like baby babble...more than ever before. > > > > On all of the boards that I'm on, I love when people post positive news; so I just wanted to do the same. > > > > Side note: he seems to be stuck on a few sounds now " geee " " guuu " instead of the variety that we were hearing. I'm wondering, do I need to up his dosage? Any advice would be appreciated. > > > > Thanks! > > Joanna > > http://drewsautismd iary.blogspot. com > > >
Guest guest
thanks! From: Joanna Coston <jmg6480@...> Subject: [ ] Re: fish oil protocol WORKING! Date: Monday, May 4, 2009, 11:23 PM Hi. I give him 1 EFA and 1 EPA with lunch and 1 EFA for dinner (these are the gel capsules). You should definitely try the EPA but make sure you have the right ratio. I'm not sure what that would be for the liquid but I'm guessing it's something like 2:1. I don't know if I'm doing it exactly right but it was working. Now, he's making a bit of weird noises but still some consonants. He's stuck on this " geeeeuuuuiiii " noise and I have no idea if that's normal. > > > > > > Hi all, > > > I just wanted to post some encouraging news.
