It is unfortunate, but all things eventually do evolve and mutations also go

along with any specie that reproduces. Obviously, the " swine flu " DID mutate

because it is no longer affecting just pigs, but also humans. The current " swine

flu " now termed H1N1 is a novel strand combining human, pig, and bird flu genes.

I would have to say that definitely qualifies as already mutating.

The scarey thing is that the typical flu season, which typically runs from

October to February (and possibly extending to March/April), is lingering past

that time. Here it is May and the flu season " should " be over. We are headed

into summer soon; there should be no flu. The weather conditions aren't right

for a flu virus. (Again another mutation)

The scare is that Swine Flu (aka H1N1 flu) hasn't been heard of for ? (30)years

and now it is resurfacing as a combination. (Stated above)

The scare is the condition of our country and others in this day and age. No one

is safe from biological warfare. Even our own US gov't has caused illnesses in

cetain areas and peoples by purposefully infecting those in this country.(the

gov't question)Agent Orange during Vietnam is just one of the top of my head,

but there are many instances. What about the Pentagon gassing American Soliders

the germ war tests of 2002, to mention another. Civilians were knowingly

affected by the gov't in Hawaii, Alaska, and Florida. You can read more at this

So, how do we know one way or the other is this new strand flu outbreak has

" purposefully " been done by a government I personally do not trust? ( I guess I

watch too much of the TV Show " Fringe " , or I just read too much about how the

gov't's of this world, including the US, has screwed it's citizens to date with

purposeful acts?

Back to the flu info:

Flu viruses typically thrive and survive in cold, dry conditions when people are

couped up indoors during the winter. It is no longer winter here in the US. I

would say thathe flu has mutated and learned to live in differnt environments.

A note about flu deaths: (below)

The Spanish Flu pandemic around the depression period (an H1N1, type A flu)

killed millions. (up to 100 million)Yes, this is same type flu as what is Swine

Flu today.

Suggestions for combating flu:

good handwashing, stay away from sick people, use Lysol type sprays and spray

even door handles and water faucet handles, use a napkin to turn off water

faucets when outside your home, and run a humidifier in your home (for those

viruses that have not mutated and still cannot survive in damp environments.)
