Hello,

It has been a while since I posted. My son still has fine motor

issues and visual processing delays, as well as severe speech and

langauage and reading difficulties. My question is His Special

Education Teacher requires him to hand print his Spelling and

Vocabulary assignments. has to use the computer to find the

definitions, as using the dictionary would be extremely difficult

with his reading disabilities. The teacher thinks that all kids with

disabilities should be forced to print out the assignments, as she

feels he gets more out of the assignment. I think it is too much of

her to ask, because the school as already agreed that he should be

using an alpha smart for his writing assignments. This is a constant

battle between and myself getting him to do his homework and

turn it in on time. Is the teacher wrong expecting him to do as

other learning different kids can, or am I wrong in expecting her to

let him use the computer to cut and paste his assignments?

Please let me know what you think? We are in the middle of 's

annual IEP and I want to make sure that I go in prepared to help him.

Thanks,

Lorraine
