Guest guest
I have a 22 month old son who has been diagnosed to have a suspected apraxia. He started receiving ST through EI 1x/wk (have been working to make it 2x a wk). Based on my own research, he has verbal apraxia and has no sensory or gross motor planning issues. I started him on Omega 3-6-9 last January and now we are on our 3000 mg/day but i still have not noticed any " splurge " on his vocabulary. He does have some gains, but i think it is more on his hard work and developmental progress rather than the vitamins. He can now produce vowel sounds and combines them with /b/ or /p/ sounds. He " imitates " words with the correct syllabications but unintelligible sounds. I am at a loss on what step i need to do next. Should i stop taking the vitamins? Should i increase his dosage to 4ooomg (or would it be too much for him to take) - he didn't have any " side effects " when he first started to take it even up to now. Should i be giving him vitamin e? Anyone's opinion is greatly appreciated! Cecille
