She called me this morning and I suppose the website is a little misleading.

What you said is what she does. For me, it is nt the best option because we

already know the best ways to work with my son. Her servcies are not covered

with our insurance either. So, again, not an option. I am sure she helps some

people who do not have a correct diagnosis and who are lost on what to do.

We have her entire program here and it " is " a good one.

Hi,

I took my son up there in January. He had been receiving services at home since

late June and had made progress. His private therapist uses the Kaufman cards.

I cannot tell you how amazed I was at his progress with her. She is pretty

tough though. But, when we got home, people were making comments about how much

he was talking and how much they could understand. The visit did alot for us as

far as reassuring us that he was making progress and what steps to do next, etc.

After seeing how tough she can be with him, we felt we could lean on him a

little too instead of letting him manipulate us when he doesn't want to

practice....The Kaufman cards are a small part of her overall therapy and she

emphasized that. So even though it was money we would rather have not spent

especially adding in travel, we felt it was well worth it.

I just want to clarify that she told me that the goal of the sessions is not for

the child to miraculously start talking, which with true apraxia won't happen in

3 days.

She also said a lot of kids are misdiagnosed.

Neurlogical problems are IMPOSSIBLE to fix in 3 days.
