Guest guest
Hi all, We're planning to get rid of our kids' pacifiers over spring break. I'm a bit worried that when we take the pacifiers away, we might see regression in speech, behavior, etc. Right now, the binkies are only used during naps and at night, so it's not constant, but I'm still concerned about potential regression problems, especially since the pacifier has been such a calming factor to assist in falling asleep over these past 3 years. I know we have to get rid of the pacifiers sooner or later, and I figure now's as good of time as any, but I'm still anxious. Has anyone gotten rid of pacifiers during the late toddler/preschool years, and did you see any changes in your child, especially in regards to speech? I'd definitely appreciate any suggestions or advice. Many thanks!!!
