Guest guest
My son is 2 years old and has speech apraxia, hypotonia in his trunk and face and has some mild sensory issues. I am trying to implement his motor planning program and cannot, for the life of me, get around or inside his mouth... he shakes his head no and pulls away. I've tried to " sneak " in the stretches and the vibration when he's doing his favorite things (bathtime, books, etc) but no luck. He goes to hippotherapy once a week and to traditional OT one other time a week to increase his trunk strength and to decrease the sensory issues. He also goes to speech twice a week. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am wondering if he needs to go to another visit of OT a week to specifically work on his face... HELP PLEASE!
