Guest guest
> The one day a week speech therapist we were seeing last year went on maternity leave this year. Another " speech therapist " filled in and all she would say to my son was " use your words " . She understood no sign language at all and really did not interact with my son. With the situation we were in, I guess I was glad to just have any speech therapist. (desperate) Things started seeming really wrong and so I did some checking and as it turns out, she was only a student; the quirky thing is there was no speech therapist even in the state that she was working under the instruction of. We are not going any more because I felt like I was wasting my time and seeing no progress; I was doing better for him at home. We have the option of returning and the speech therapist has mysteriously come back, right after we left (and I took my two children away from there). She said they did not want to lose any business, when I talked to her on the phone inqiring when she was going to return (I called her at home) but I feel like we have been deceived for four months (not to mention this was illegal) and we have wasted so much time~haven't we? > Not to mention, we have been going once a week, out of county and wasted much gas on top of that precious time, since October and we were promised to be put on a home plan, but never was (obviously because no speech therapist was around. I feel like my son just went to play with toys and in a ball pit, which he can do at Mc's.) > P.S. They also billed the insurance for speech therapy services. (I am just in tears and do not know what to do.) >
