>>>> I just found " A Comprehensive Guide to Mastering Autism "

Rose,

That has been sort of a work in progress for years. It is compiled in a

cut and paste sort of way which contributes to it being hard to get

through. While chunks are on target, others don't fit in well but that

is why. Basically, when he finds something new or interesting, he

copies and pastes it in the document where it seems to fit. Some of the

original authors of the chunks copied are not happy about this (to put

diplomatically) because 1) it is obviously copyright violation which

some take very seriously about their work and which they are not given

credit, and 2) by copying and pasting things in here and there, you can

distort or totally re-arrange the original meaning. It is very lacking

in references too which would be very helpful to know where things came

from and what it is based on.

My approach to reading it was to get some ideas but not believe any of

it until you triple checked each sentence of information you are

interested in believing to ensure it is actually true and valid. I

don't mean any disrepect to the person compiling all this, but proper

credit should go to the real authors and sources...and also so you can

know that is what the authors meant when they wrote. And go back to

ther original sources to see in what context the statements were made.

You need to be very careful with technical information when writing it,

translating it, or moving it around so you don't change the original

meaning.

Yes! It is a great document. The author is a friend of the moderator on

autism_iron which is how I initially became aware of it. A great read!!!!
